Teroof Plugins

The Story

Teroof Plugins started with a memory.

I missed an old organ I used to have, so I tried to recreate it.

There was only one problem: I didn’t know how to code.

With a lot of curiosity, trial and error, and help from AI, I slowly found my way into audio programming. Once the organ existed, I started asking:

What would I change?
What instruments and effects do I wish existed in my DAW?

Then musician friends started throwing in ideas too - and sometimes asking me to build plugins they wished they had.

One plugin became another, and somewhere along the way it turned into an obsession with making strange little instruments and effects - inspired by old machines, imaginary ones, and ideas that probably shouldn’t exist.

Teroof Plugins is basically that obsession.

About

I’m Shay Roth. Or, more accurately, Shay Roth is the character I’ve been developing over the years.

He makes music, produces, writes, draws, cuts things up and glues them back together. He’s been making music in FL Studio since 1998 and has always treated new technology as just another color on the palette.

The new wave of AI made it possible to bring all of those interests together > sound, graphics, animation, a love of words, wordplay and copywriting - inside one strange little world: audio plugins.

Teroof Plugins is my attempt to make tools that inspire before you even touch a knob. Plugins that sound interesting, look like something, have a personality, and can feel like small works of art in their own right.
